ONE ARTIST A WEEK

Our Artist In Residence project ONE ARTIST A WEEK was launched 2017 in Athens during the first half of Documenta 14 (Athens/Kassel).
The first series of ONE ARTIST A WEEK successively offered to eleven international artists to live for one week in Athens and to develop an exhibition, intervention or performance.

ONE ARTIST A WEEK questions the dynamic of quickly changing trends, topics and "fashions" in the international art world and asks at the same time how each of the participating artists responds to this development.
ONE ARTIST A WEEK not only offers accommodation and exhibition space in the center of Athens, it also supports the artists practically and with press and communication work.

In 2017, ONE ARTIST A WEEK took place in collaboration with Cine Trianon Film Center, Victoria Square Project (Rick Lowe - Documenta 14) and Panourgias Store in Athens. Artists were: Chiara Cavallo, Cesar Garcia, Maria Oikonomou, Elena Probata, Valeria Geritzen, Loukia Richards, Christoph Ziegler, Margarita Skokou, Ilse Ruppert, Marietta Karamaria, Stefan Schroer.
