RAIN MACHINE

The Rain Machine, a light and water installation presented by the artist at Elektrohaus Gallery in Hamburg (2007), was a kinetic artwork that evoked the sensation of falling raindrops.

When visitors entered the exhibition, a motion sensor triggered an electric pump that circulated water through a network of garden hoses mounted on the ceiling. The water then rained down onto a membrane before flowing back into the pump, creating a soothing sound and a refreshing breeze in the gallery space.
